This Canyon Lake E-Z-GO came into the shop because it would not charge or run. The six batteries read between -0.65 and 1.77 volts, even though the water levels were fine.
The shop jump-started the pack and got it charging on a 36V charger. After two charge cycles, two batteries were still well behind the other four, so those two were replaced. The shop also installed a 12V voltage reducer (DC-DC converter) to keep the pack from draining unevenly again. While wiring it in, they found the main solenoid had melted, so it was replaced too. Fully charged, the pack is much more evenly balanced, there are no fault codes, and the cart runs properly.
On the test drive the rear leaf spring bushings were worn out, so replacing them is recommended.
