Meet Linda's red Club Car DS: tan roof, clear windshield, and an American flag riding proudly on the roof support. It's a great-looking cart, but it was time for a whole new set of batteries, so it rolled into our Canyon Lake shop.
Jayden got to work. Out came the old pack, and in went six brand-new Continental T-875 8-volt flooded lead-acid batteries.
With the battery tray empty, he didn't waste the chance. He cleaned the tray and the hold-downs, torqued every terminal, and coated them all with dielectric protectant to help keep corrosion away. Before handing it back, he checked that the charger was working, too.
The happy ending: Linda's DS went home with a fresh, clean, properly cabled pack and a charger ready to keep it topped off. Flag still flying.
If your cart is losing range or struggling on hills, a tired battery pack is a common reason.
