Installation & programming notes
The 1268 footprint bolts into the factory location with the same B+/B-/M-/A2 lug layout, and the adapter harness handles the IQ-specific low-voltage connections. The step most installs get wrong is programming: the throttle range has to be re-learned and the current limit set to match your battery pack — lead-acid and lithium want different settings. Skip that and you get pedal hesitation and an under-current Curtis code. Use a Curtis 1313 handheld or have a tech with one do the initial setup.
