This is a genuine Curtis 500-amp speed controller for 1995–2002 Yamaha G14 and G16 electric golf carts. It is the upgrade Yamaha owners turn to when the original controller fails or the cart has lost its low-end pull. The higher amp rating delivers stronger off-the-line torque and smoother power on hills and with passengers aboard.

Installation & programming notes
Disconnect the battery pack at the main before you touch the controller. Mark every lead before removing the old unit — the B+, B-, and motor terminals must go back exactly as they came off. After the swap, set the controller program to match your throttle and battery pack; a Curtis programmer makes this straightforward and clears the under-current code that shows up if the throttle range is not learned. If the old controller failed shorted, also check the solenoid and main cables before powering up.
