Curtis Accelerator Pedal

$289.00
SKU: 50315

The Curtis FP6 accelerator pedal is the gold-standard 0-5K ohm throttle input — the foot-pedal end of practically every aftermarket Curtis and Navitas golf cart controller install on the market.

If your cart has been upgraded to a Curtis or Navitas controller, this pedal is the throttle device the controller expects to see. It uses a 0-5K ohm potentiometer ("pot box") in a sealed, automotive-grade housing — when the pedal is at rest the controller reads zero, and full travel reads 5K, giving the controller a smooth analog signal across the entire pedal sweep. When this part wears out, you get throttle hesitation, surging, dropouts, or a cart that refuses to move out of slow speed.

Compatibility

  • Universal fit — works with any Curtis controller using a 0-5K ohm input (most Curtis 1206, 1232, 1234, 1236, 1238, 500-amp, and AC controllers)
  • Navitas TSX 3.0, TAC2, and Sevcon-equivalent controllers expecting an FP6-style pot box
  • EZGO, Club Car, Yamaha, Star EV, and Columbia Par Car platforms once converted to a Curtis or Navitas drive
  • NOT a drop-in replacement for stock OEM ITS-style pedals — those use a hall-effect sensor, not a pot box. See our EZGO schematics to confirm what your cart expects.

What's in the Kit

  • Curtis FP6 pedal assembly (pedal + integrated pot box)
  • 3-wire connector pigtail with color-coded leads (+5V, signal, ground)
  • Mounting hardware

Key Features

  • Sealed pot box: Withstands dust, water spray, and pedal-well grit better than open-element designs.
  • Linear sweep: Even throttle response from zero to full — no flat spots or dead zones.
  • OEM-grade build: The actual Curtis-branded FP6, not a Chinese visual clone.
  • Easy swap: 3 wires, 4 bolts, done.
  • Long service life: Curtis specs the FP6 for 1 million cycles of foot travel.

Installation Notes

Plan 45-60 minutes. Tow/run switch off, main negative disconnected, pedal cover off. Photograph the existing wire colors and which pin goes where before you disconnect anything — pot-box wiring varies between controller generations and a swapped signal/ground reads as full throttle to the controller. After install, key on and check pot voltage at the controller input pin (should sweep 0.2V at rest to 4.8V at full throttle on a 5V reference).

Diagnose first, replace second. A bad solder joint in the harness causes the same surging symptoms as a bad pot box. Our mobile techs probe the throttle circuit with a scope before recommending a pedal swap — book the mobile golf cart service or call (951) 580-9822.
