The main solenoid on a 2008-Up EZGO RXV is the high-amperage contactor that closes when you press the accelerator and sends battery current through to the motor controller. When it fails, the symptom is almost always the same: pedal goes down, you hear a quiet click but the cart will not move — or it moves intermittently and stalls under load. Diagnosis & installation notes
Before you replace the solenoid, verify the failure: with a meter on the large lugs, press the accelerator. If you hear the click but read zero volts across the lugs while the pedal is depressed, the contacts are pitted and this is your part. If you do not hear the click, suspect the pre-charge resistor, the F&R switch, or the controller before the solenoid. Disconnect the battery pack at the main, swap the lugs one-for-one (mark them first), and torque the nuts to spec. If the cart had a stuck solenoid before failure, also inspect the pre-charge resistor — they fail together more often than separately.
