Installation Notes
Plan 45 minutes if everything's accessible. Warm the engine before draining oil — warm oil flushes contaminants out the drain plug instead of leaving them stuck to the pan walls. Replace the oil filter and gasket every time, even if the filter "looks fine" — clogged media is the #1 cause of low oil-pressure warnings on older TXTs. Gap the new spark plugs before installation (typical spec is 0.030"; verify against your specific engine code on the cylinder head). When swapping the air filter, vacuum the airbox before dropping in the new filter — a single piece of grit pulled past the filter on first start will scar a cylinder wall.
