JBL RallyBar XL — 35-inch Bluetooth Soundbar with RGB LED Lighting

The JBL RallyBar XL is a sealed, weather-rated powersports soundbar built for open-air vehicles: golf carts, UTVs and side-by-sides, boats and ATVs. A 300-watt RMS Class-D amplifier drives ten drivers behind an IP66-rated enclosure, with RGB LED lighting that can run standalone or react to what is playing. It is a single bolt-on unit — no separate amplifier, no head unit, no cutting into your dash.

Why an IP66 Bar Instead of Cheap Cart Speakers

Golf cart audio fails for three predictable reasons, and all three are solved by the enclosure rather than the sound quality. Water — carts get hosed down and left out in the rain; an IP66 rating means the unit is sealed against dust and direct water jets, not merely "splash resistant." Vibration — a cart on decomposed granite shakes fasteners and solder joints apart; a single rigid enclosure with proper clamp mounts has far less to rattle loose than a set of pod speakers on brackets. Heat — an unshaded cart roof in a Riverside County summer will cook a consumer Bluetooth speaker. Powersports-rated gear is built for that duty cycle.

The sound argument matters too: in an open cockpit with no cabin to reinforce bass, small drivers disappear at speed. Ten drivers plus four passive radiators across 35 inches gives you output that survives wind noise without being driven into distortion.

Fitting It to a Golf Cart

  • Mounting. The included clamps are sized for roll bars and cart roof struts. On most four- and six-passenger carts the bar mounts to the front roof support, facing rearward into the seats, which puts the sound where the passengers are instead of throwing it at the windshield.
  • Clearance. At 35 inches wide, check it against your roof width and any windshield that folds down before you drill or clamp.
  • Power. A 300 W RMS amplifier is a real electrical load. On a 48V or 72V cart it needs a properly sized DC-DC converter, correct fusing and a switched source — not a splice into the light circuit. Getting this wrong is how people end up with a dead accessory battery, a blown converter or a fire risk.
  • Weight. 27.5 lbs on a cart roof changes how the top loads. Mount to structure, not to plastic.

Professional Installation

We install audio on golf carts every week and we do it mobile — we come to your driveway. That includes sizing and fusing the converter, running protected wiring, mounting to structure, and testing the system before we leave. The work carries our 90-day warranty. Audio installs are also the single most common "I had a friend do it" job we end up re-doing, so the honest advice is: if you are not confident about DC power on a 48V+ system, let a technician handle the electrical side.
