Whoa, Workhorse: New Brakes for Mark's Cushman Hauler Pro in Corona

Whoa, Workhorse: New Brakes for Mark's Cushman Hauler Pro in Corona

Mark's green 2016 Cushman Hauler Pro is a 72-volt utility cart with a cargo bed, built to work. And work it does. All that hauling had caught up with the brakes, and they needed to be redone.

Jakob took the job in Corona. He found a worn, rusty brake drum, so this was not going to be a quick adjustment. He replaced the brake assemblies on both sides, installed two new brake drums, and put in new brake cables.

Then he equalized and adjusted the cables and took the Hauler out for a road test.

The happy ending: Mark's workhorse now stops as designed, and it's ready to get back to hauling.

Utility and fleet carts work hard, and brakes are one of the first things to wear out.
