Dale's 2003 E-Z-GO TXT had only two settings: full speed or stopped. There was no easing into the throttle at all.
Jayden came out to Menifee to check it out and went straight to the speed controller. The first clue was sitting right on top: the controller had no casing.
His next move was to plug in a handheld diagnostic tool, but the controller's port wasn't working, so that door was closed. Instead, Jayden ran an ITS test on the throttle side, and it checked out fine.
With the throttle sensor testing good and the controller's own port not responding, Jayden recommended a new controller.
The happy ending (so far): Dale knows exactly what's behind the all-or-nothing ride, and the next step is clear.
If your cart lurches to full speed or won't let you ease into the pedal, don't keep driving it that way. Have the throttle and controller checked.
