The Bestselling E-Z-GO. Two, Four, or Six Seats.
If the Liberty is the cart for couples and four-passenger forward-facing duty, the E-Z-GO Express is the workhorse for everyone else. It's the all-time bestselling EZGO, with four chassis variants (S2, S4, S6, L6) that cover everything from a compact two-seater to a six-passenger people-mover. The Express is what you buy when you need flexibility - one cart that handles the morning coffee run, the HOA pool day, and a Saturday with extended family or workers, all from the same chassis.

Express S2
Two-passenger compact. Smallest Express footprint. Ideal for solo or couple use, large-property mobility, or as a second cart. Available electric or gas.
Express S4
Two-passenger with rear-facing flip seat - converts to four-passenger in seconds for occasional extra riders. The all-time top-selling Express configuration. Electric or gas.
Express S6
Six-passenger people-mover on the standard Express chassis. Two rows of forward-facing seating plus rear-facing flip bench. Popular with HOAs, large families, and event venues.
Express L6

Who Should Buy the E-Z-GO Express?
HOA and active-adult communities
If you've ever stood in a Canyon Lake or Sun City driveway, you've probably been looking at an Express. It's the default cart for Southern California HOA life - reliable, parts-available everywhere, comfortable for passengers, and durable enough for daily duty over a 10-15 year ownership horizon.
Large families and multi-generational households
Six-passenger S6 or L6 lets the whole family roll out together - kids, grandparents, friends. The flip-seat S4 is the right answer when you usually ride two but occasionally need four.
Property managers and small fleets
Resort properties, country clubs, and large estates buy Express in small fleets because the parts and service ecosystem is unmatched - anything that breaks on an Express, we have on the truck or at our Canyon Lake warehouse.
Working buyers (ranches, farms, large lots)
The Express L6 with cargo bed accommodation, gas-engine Kawasaki, and leaf-spring rear is the EZGO that hauls. If your use case includes actual work, this is the chassis.
Express Drivetrain Options
The Express is the only Liberty/Valor/Express family member with a real gas option, which makes drivetrain choice a real decision:
- Electric (48V lead-acid): Entry price, ~25-30 mile range, 4-6 year battery service life, quiet operation. Right answer for HOA use where noise matters.
- Electric (lithium upgrade): Drop-in lithium pack roughly doubles range and lasts 8-10+ years. Premium upgrade we install on most new Express buyers' carts before delivery.
- Gas (Kawasaki EX1 13.5 hp): The right answer for hilly terrain, daily ranges over 30 miles, working/ranch use, or anywhere charging access is limited. The Kawasaki is a known-good engine with excellent parts availability and cold-start reliability.
Street-Legal LSV Configuration
Most Express variants can be converted to street-legal LSV configuration. We install DOT-compliant headlights, turn signals, brake lights, mirrors, seatbelts, VIN, and handle the DMV registration. Note: the L6 stretched chassis is the most popular LSV conversion target because the longer wheelbase is more stable at LSV speeds (up to 25 mph).

Pricing & Financing
Express pricing varies by chassis variant, drivetrain, and configuration. An S2 electric lead-acid is the lowest entry; an L6 gas with full options is the top of the range. Most buyers land in the $11-18k range for a well-equipped Express with lithium upgrade. Call (951) 580-9822 for live pricing.
Financing is available on most E-Z-GO Express configurations - recreational vehicle financing through several lenders we work with regularly. See current financing options →

E-Z-GO Express Buying FAQ
Which Express variant is right for me - S2, S4, S6, or L6?
S2 if you only ever need 2 passengers and want the smallest footprint. S4 if you usually ride 2 but occasionally need 4 (the flip seat is the swing factor). S6 if you regularly ride 4-6 people and budget matters. L6 if you regularly ride 4-6 and comfort matters more than price - the longer wheelbase is genuinely more comfortable in every row.
Should I buy electric or gas?
Electric (with lithium upgrade) for ~80% of Southern California buyers - cleaner, quieter, lower maintenance, lower long-term cost. Gas if you have hills (Canyon Lake's hilliest streets, parts of Fallbrook), if your daily range is over 30 miles, or if charging access is limited (ranch use, second-property storage).
How long do Express carts last?
10-15 years of regular service is normal for an Express that gets basic preventive maintenance. We service Express carts that are 20+ years old still in daily use. The chassis is one of the most durable in golf-cart history.
Can I add a lithium battery to my Express later?
Yes - lithium upgrades are one of our most-requested services. We install Samsung SDI, RELiON, and Allied lithium packs in 48V Express chassis with full programming and on-site commissioning. Most lithium upgrades pay for themselves in 4-5 years on saved lead-acid replacements.
Do you stock Express parts?
Yes - we stock 700+ EZGO parts including comprehensive Express coverage. Most Express service calls are completed in one visit with parts on the truck. Our Canyon Lake warehouse handles everything else with same-day or next-day local delivery.
Do you deliver the Express to the Coachella Valley?
Yes. We run a regular Coachella Valley route into La Quinta, Palm Desert, Indio, Rancho Mirage, Bermuda Dunes, and Indian Wells. Delivery is scheduled with the next available route, typically within 7-14 days of purchase confirmation.
